Peta's Pink Pedal Challenge 2014
Peta's Pink Pedal Challenge 2014
Story
When my brave and courageous friend Lee Sieracki, a breast cancer survivor, mentioned the Pink Pedal Challenge, I was inspired and excited about being able to help raise funds for The Breast Cancer Network Australia. So in February 2014 I will be joining her and some other very inspirational and courageous ladies on a charity bike ride from Vietnam - Cambodia. My husband and family are also supporting me in what will surely be an adventure of a lifetime.
Personally having friends and family who have suffered either Breast cancer or benign tumours, I have seen how it affects everyone around them. Therefore, to have a wonderful organisation like BCNA there to inform, support and care for these people during this time is a powerful resource.
This is why I am so motivated to reach my target of $3000. Additionally I see an opportunity to act as a role model for my 3 beautiful daughters. I want to show them that stepping out of your comfort zone to help others is such a worthwhile and positive thing to do.
Every donation is appreciated, no matter how small or large. Like the women who experience Breast cancer, the BCNA charity relies on your donations
* A $30 donation provides 25 breast cancer survivors with a copy of The Beacon magazine
* A $50 donation can provide a newly diagnosed woman with a ‘My Journey Kit’ - a comprehensive resource package aimed at providing information at a time it’s most needed.
I thank you in advance for your support of not only my challenge, but of those who will benefit from our combined efforts.
