Jill's Pink Pedal Challenge
Story
Hi, my name is Jillian. Thank you for visiting my Pink Pedal Fundraising page.
In riding from Vietnam to Cambodia in February 2014 I believe my efforts and your support / sponsorship will help Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) make a difference in the lives of others who are and will be affected by breast cancer.
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 I hardly imagined any positives would come out of my diagnosis and yet here I am today, preparing for what I might call "the Ride of my Life" – somewhat easy to put down in words but I think I am in for some hard work :-) .
In 2006 my surgeon made me aware of BCNA who works to ensure that women diagnosed with breast cancer, and their families, receive the very best information, treatment, care and support possible. In 2007 I became a Community Liaison representing BCNA in the wider community. I have had the opportunity to do many things with BCNA, not the least being speaking to medical students and Melbourne University and speaking at Annual Breast Care Nurses Conferences about the impacts of breast cancer.
Over the last seven years I have seen and experienced the difference this organisation makes in the lives of women like myself so I would like to thank you, in advance, for any support you are able to give.
